Tattoo Removal Cream – Sometimes It’s Necessary

Tattoos are awfully personal investments due to the fact that they can cost quite a deal of cash, and can be very significant to the individual. And as it is permanent, a tattoo which has a sentimental worth should also look good, in order to add to the person’s appearance. But if the tattoo ends up looking bad, or if the value of it just vanishes, or if the tattoo has been outgrown, then the tattoo needs to be removed, and one cheap way to do so is by using a tattoo removal cream.

But before buying a removal cream, the first question you have to ask is, do these creams actually work? Well, folk are practically fifty-fifty on the topic, with a substantial number of people claiming that it works without any doubts, with yet one more massive number of folks disputing this claim. This divide actually makes deciding whether to use a tattoo cream really difficult.

A typical tattoo erasure system consists of an exfoliate gel, scratch formula, and the main tattoo cream. Infrequently, the system also has touch-up “concealers”, which are alleged to be able to help hide what’s left of the tattoo until it is ultimately completely removed. The system has to be followed in sequence, and exactly, for it to work, or so that the manufacturers say.

But here’s where the discussion ensues, because as far as current science goes tattoos are applied particularly so that the ink doesn’t fade simply, because the ink is injected in a bit of the skin that truly protects it. It is just above the layer of the skin where the ink could be absorbed, and just below the layer of skin where the ink might fade from external elements. Supporters of the creams say that the formula used by many of those creams have solved that issue, and can go a good way into the skin to dissolve the ink from inside, but experts claim this is scientifically not possible.

With these things expounded, should people still use tattoo creams? We suggest that individuals who are still interested if they can remove tattoos in a cost-effective way, should consult with an expert like a doctor or skin specialist to figure out if the formula can work, or to check if it may cause issues. Asking an expert to guarantee one’s safety should be top priority before using any tattoo cream.

With stars like Angeline Jolie sporting tattoos just about everywhere, can you blame the young kids today, if they want to get a tattoo or two? Tattoos in fact, are not a new concept. It is an ancient form of body art. Almost every culture in the world has shown traces of tattooing. In fact, the oldest known tattoo is five thousand three hundred years old!

History of Tattoos

Yup, I’m talking about the tattoos that were discovered on Oetzi, the Iceman who was found in the year 1991. The tattoo he sports consists basically of criss-cross, vertical and horizontal lines. There is of course, some speculation as to why the tattoos are there in the first place. No matter the reason, the fact remains that Oetzi had a tattoo!

In fact, not just Oetzi, traces of the rich history of tattooing have been found in various other cultures as well. Russian mummies, about 2400 years old, found in Siberia, Egyptian mummies, Japanese figures and even our very own Red Indian culture – you name it and they’ve been tattooing each other for years!

Tattoos represent a variety of things – social stature, religion, prayer incantations. In many cases, they’re just there for decorative purposes. Men and women all over the world sport beautiful tattoos of every possible color and shape. And you can join their number too.

How To Spot a Good Tattoo Artist

But don’t rush into anything. Before you get a tattoo, it is very important that you consider your decision carefully, because once you get a tattoo, you can’t get rid of it easily. Plus it is really expensive to remove it. Ask around to find out where people are getting their tattoos done and consider reviews. Tour a few tattoo parlors first before you make your decision.

First thing you should notice about the tattoo parlor is whether it is clean or not. See whether the tattoo artist is using sterilized needles and tools – in fact, it is best if you visit a tattoo artist who uses disposable needles. Be sure to take note of the general cleanliness of the place too.

Ask a few questions too. It is a good idea to get as comfortable with the staff at the tattoo parlor as you possibly can. Also check out the designs in their catalogue and on the internet as well. In order to see whether they are any good, you can compare the actual design with the tattoo on a person. Then you can decide whether you want to work with a particular tattoo artist or not.

Getting a tattoo is a big thing. It usually marks the coming of age of an individual – people find out just who they are. Or it is done when people identify themselves with a group or a particular culture. Other people get a tattoo just because they like the idea of getting artwork done on their skin – you can get a conspicuous tattoo complete with vibrant colors or a small one in a private region for that special person. Whatever the reason for getting a tattoo may be, just be careful before you take the plunge!

Japanese Tattoos With The Japanese Dragon

Japanese tattoos are called irezumi. This is an all-encompassing term for all tattoo and body modification methods but is used in the Western sense of being the traditional art of Japan. In this art form, the main attraction is the dragon tattoo. Japanese dragons are one of the most common motifs due to its intricacy and extremely psychedelic appeal.

Rooted in History

There are actually multiple variations to the dragon in Japan: the indigenous Tatsu and the foreign varieties. The tatsu are actually more animistic than physical, being manifestations of what a river or a body of water is and the spirits that live in them. The most famous, however, is the personification of lightning, Orochi. He is an eight headed and eight tailed dragon who was killed to gain the most important element of the Imperial Regalia of Japan, the Kusanagi.

The ryu is the most familiar one. It is akin to the Chinese dragon, only differing in the fact that the feet of the dragon only have three fingers as opposed to five. This is due to the fact that the dragon’s feet tells of it’s nationality. According to Japan’s tradition, Japan, where dragons originated, makes 3 fingers, Korea makes 4 fingers and China makes 5 fingers. When you go further the dragons get too many fingers to survive. The Chinese believe in the reverse, stating that they lose fingers until they have no more. The doragon, on the other hand, is the Western incarnation.

The Present

Japanese dragons are differentiated by the fact that they symbolize the subtlety and flow of water instead of fire. This is the main difference between them and the other Asian dragons. This is evident in their intricate scales, and the colors of black, blue and white, all related to water. In fact, they believe that all the sea is ruled by four dragons, which reside in the four cardinal directions.

These dragons also symbolize power. Being one of the Four Celestial Gods, the dragon is a powerful symbol carried in battle. It is said that the dragon emblem is capable of rousing courage. They are also sometimes symbols of agriculture and fertility. Most often, however, they represent the torrential powers of water, placid and calm at first sight but really brutal and savage when angered.

A Shared Heritage

Japanese tattoos done the traditional way are called irezumi. This involves the use of bamboo flints to pierce the skin and apply the color. While the results are astounding and excellent, this takes a long time to complete, sometimes years for a small area. Thus, most have already adapted the Western practice of using machines. However, the designs are still completely Japan in flavor and motif.
